Ministry in Action
What follows are some of the different ministry opportunities, special events, and fellowship times our youth group has taken part in, from years past to years present.

Broomball, just one of the ways we at GCC fellowship and enjoy our time together. Both teams faught long and hard on the ice for a taste of victory- and some even decided to switch teams mid-game- but one thing is for sure: everyone came home having a good time, and thoroughly tired.
Student Life Missions Camp 04' was spent ministering to the mentally handicapped through painting projects, light construction work, and some of the greatest card playing this side of the World Poker Tour (minus the gambling of course). Each day the youth went back to the main Student Life Campus for times of worship, teaching, and small group discussion. The verdict came back with great fun being had by all.

"Paintball with a Purpose" is one of the favorite gatherings for many of our youth and singles. New friendships are forged in the midst of "war games." Each day of paintball includes a devotional talking about the "war language" of the Bible. For example, this picture was taken in June of 2007 in the midst of a new game called "To The Death." This game originated from Colossians 3:5 (ESV) which says, "Put to death therefore what is earthly in you." The paintball fort represented the evil within our hearts that must be attacked and put to death, by the grace of God. Whoever said Christianity was boring must not have been following Christ - it is a matter of life and death! (John 10:10, 14:6)

During our trip to the Voice of the Martyrs headquarters youth and their families gathered to help prepare materials that would be sent into mission fields all over the world. They also had the opportunity to learn more about various missionaries who risked their lives and faced unimaginable odds in order to spread the gospel.
